Yeh, the park was like a ghost town, no prob getting in, weird inside, free ‘hot drink’ (one!!).
Was weird in the seats. Sounded like hackney marshes on a Sunday morning. The singing/backing/bollocking was decent first half and drifted right along the stand. No one seemed to take any notice of the knee business. The loudest bit was down the Bobby Moore corner.
Was a mixture of supporters in there. Most seemed to be normal West Ham. (I didn’t see any tourists/new breed though prob was some there).
Me son bought another bill roffee at HT and bought a steward one cos he heard the bird behind the ramp say that Stewards weren’t entitled to a free one. (fuckin skinflint board).
Second half it gradually went quieter in there as the mancs got on top, then It came to life a bit towards the end as we kept on trying for the full 90.
Players came over and clapped after the game. Was easy to get back (was fuck all people about!). The club shop was open and still cashing in.
Westfield end (by the Cow) was open, so was quicker for station. (but was like a fuckin madhouse with the first Saturday post lockdown shoppers/hangers about/tea leaves/locals traipsing about).
Was lucky to get the chance to go, so don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Not the same though, obviously.
Let’s hope it’s the start of the supporters getting back properly.

In the ground. No hassle at all. Just had to show my ticket twice and temp once. Amazed they haven’t fucked it up. It’s very weird though with virtually no-one here

El. They emailed the tickets. You can print or use Apple wallet or similar. Have had to confirm three times you haven’t got or been in contact with anyone that has COVID. Have to wear a mask once you cross the bridge. Temp checks and over 16s have to take id so you can’t pass the ticket on. Have to register your attendance with the nhs COVID app too. Fun and games. Sure it’ll be a nightmare fuck up all round.

If you got your tickets yesterday and you’re going and you haven’t already check your emails again. They’ve added an additional check in step that has to be completed by midday otherwise you won’t get in.
